With over 12,900 dwellings Billericay Town Council is one of the larger ‘parish’ councils in England. We work with Basildon Borough Council and Essex County Council to provide and enhance services and facilities within the Town Council area.

Basildon and Thurrock Councils are set to explore the creation of a brand new South West Essex Unitary Authority, it has been revealed. And Basildon Council leader Gavin Callaghan says this is the first option for bosses to look at as the borough “begins the process of divorcing from Essex County Council “.
