It’s pretty grimy and run down but there are lots of small galleries, bars, art studios as well as nice traditional pubs around. Lots of Goldsmiths arts students live around there.

I love Deptford because it is near to Greenwich and not far from Surrey Quays, and affordable unlike the 2 places mentioned. It feels safe, people have lived here for years so it’s a nice community! With local businesses and nice spots to walk to, with great green areas.
