Fairfield Halls

A major Croydon Council investment has transformed the much-loved Fairfield Halls into a stunning new arts centre, where in partnership with the council, operators BH Live will deliver an exciting programme that celebrates Croydon’s rich diversity. Together, they will create unprecedented opportunities for the community to experience and participate in the arts.

Reopened in September 2019, its 1960s town centre architecture has attracted critical acclaim from the National Trust and will re-establish its position as a top-tier venue capable of attracting leading performers and shows to the town.

Boxpark

Opened in October 2016, Boxpark Croydon has established a new entertainment hub next to East Croydon station, which is already home to 35 street food restaurants, bars and cafes and is able to host cultural and music events for up to 2,000 people. Boxpark has an exciting calendar of events which can be viewed here.

Croydon offers a vibrant shopping experience with a variety of independent stores, international food shops and the historic Surrey Street Market in the Old Town.

The Whitgift Centre and Centrale shopping centre on North End in central Croydon are home to top retail brands, and there are a number of retail parks on Croydon’s Purley Way offering access to prominent home and lifestyle brands.

Westfield & Hammerson

Developers Westfield and Hammerson have formed the Croydon Partnership to transform the heart of the town centre through a £1.4 billion scheme, which will create a new world-class retail and leisure destination with over 300 shops, restaurants and cafes, complete with a family friendly leisure offer including a multiplex cinema.
