Boxpark Croydon wins architecture award

Boxpark Croydon has been recognised with an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for its architectural excellence.

Boxpark Croydon, designed by BDP, opened in October 2016 with a two-day urban music festival, featuring local artists headlined by grime star Wiley. Like its predecessor Boxpark Shoreditch, Boxpark Croydon is constructed from shipping containers but even bigger and exclusively dedicated to food, drink and entertainment. Located right next to East Croydon station, Boxpark has become a go-to place for the local community, with over 200 events planned for this year, from music events to workshops.

Boxpark Croydon brings over 40 outlets under one roof – well-known brands such as Chilango, Department of Coffee & Social Affairs and Meatliquor, as well as local businesses.
